How we collaborate

FinnGen is based on a wide public-private partnership. Academic researchers outside this partnership, interested in working with the FinnGen project resource, are welcome to fill in our collaboration form.

New industry partners:

The consortium is open to new partners. Our Steering Committee approves new partners and decides on the use of the additional funding to support our research goals.

Good to know:

Please note that FinnGen as a research project is granted use of national healthcare data and biospecimens according to national and European regulations (GDPR), which preclude the research project from distributing individual level data. However, any researcher can apply for the health register data from the Finnish Data Authority Findata and for all FinnGen individual-level genotype data (and other profiling data) generated by the project from Finnish biobanks via the Fingenious portal hosted by the Finnish Biobank Cooperative FINBB
